  • A. B. C. D. [A Bad "Car" Day]

Today I had my first law school exam.

I got up extra early (6:30am) to do some last minute studying and to drive to school before the roads get congested (left the house at 7:45 for 9am exam; commute about 20~ish minutes). I realized I only had a quarter tank of gas left so I stopped by BP on the way. After filling up, the "Low Tire Pressure Indication came on." I freaked out and after Kenny looked up the problem for me, he said it was common for CRV's b/c the factory fills just enough gas in the tires at delivery and when the temperature drops, the indicator picks up the drop in pressure. Since I had an exam to take, I drove off, hoping the air would last until after class.

After class I took the car back to BP and asked if I could fill up my tires. The attendant said he would do it for me, but I would have to wait ~30 mins because at the moment there was a gas tanker refilling gas for the gas station. So I did some reading in the car, and thank God after the tires were filled, the indicator turned off.

I drove back to school and went to the library to finish up preparing for tomorrow's class. As the sun began to set around 7pm, that was my cue to go home (I am not used to driving at night so I have to leave before the sun completely sets). I got into my car and after I put the key in the ignition, the key wouldn't turn. I tried to unlock my door and tried again, but still no luck. Kenny suggested I get out, lock the car, unlock the car and try again. It didn't work. To my frustration, I shoved the key in, turned the key really hard and this time, and it worked! I think I might have in fact turned turned the steering wheel while turning the key, which unlocked the ignition. By the time I got the car up and running, it was already dark outside.

So I drove home in the dark for the first time. None of the issues were big problems, but perhaps a little more than what I would like to handle in one day, given I only started driving (again) 1 month ago!

  • Three goals for first semester of law school:

    1. Place top 10%
    2. Become a better driver
    3. Lose weight
  • 04.20.07
    - Our first date @ Mets v. Braves game [Shea Stadium]
(and for the record, Mets lost)

    08.19.09
    - First visit to Citifield to watch Mets v. Braves
    (and Mets lost 15-2)

Although we wouldn't consider ourselves baseball fans, the Mets will always have a special place in our hearts.
